Audax Style Revival Series – Ride 1: “Back to the Beginning”

We’re bringing something totally new — and a little nostalgic!
We’re going back to our roots — back to the days when we were training and racing. One of the best parts of that journey? Riding Audax events! These incredible endurance rides once defined true cycling spirit, but over time, they’ve been overshadowed by the world of sportives.

Now, we’re reviving the adventure and bring back these Audax style events. Get ready for epic miles, epic camaraderie, and pure cycling joy.

What is bikes and Bakes? 

Saddle up for a day of adventure, cake, and good company! The Bike & Bake rides are low-cost, high-fun cycling events that celebrate the joy of exploring on two wheels.

Forget about following arrows — this is a ride for true adventurers! You’ll navigate using your inner explorer’s compass (plus the provided maps and GPX routes, of course) to follow beautifully optimised routes through stunning scenery.

Instead of standard feed zones, you’ll visit unique control point cafés, where you can stamp your souvenir rider card and refuel with delicious food, coffee, and plenty of smiles.

At the finish line, your efforts are rewarded the best way possible — with a free slice of cake and a freshly brewed tea or coffee to celebrate your ride.

While we do have emergency support on hand, riders are encouraged to handle their own roadside repairs. Need a hand? No worries — we can come to your rescue for a small fee or get you safely back to the event centre.
